thebreakpad - About us We're all tooled up and ready to help you, whether it be on the trails learning new skills, or in the shop purchasing some goodies from tubes to carbon fibre road bikes...pop in and say hi Sam Hill - Downhill World Champion (not really, but sounds good!!) Ae Enduro Avalanche 2010 - 3rd Women Sam has been riding mountain bikes for over 17 years, and after university she picked up a watersports magazine and a bike magazine and instead o f buying a Canadian Canoe, she bought her first mountain bike; a Marin Rocky Ridge and hasn't looked back..... She has mountain biked in many parts of the world including Utah, France and New Zealand. Sam's favourite trail is technical sections of singletrack and the fast flowing trails that Kirroughtree has to offer. She is a qualified MBL (Mountain bike Leader) CYTECH mechanic and a Teacher of PE. Sam can take you through some of the skills that can up your level of confidence and bike handling, such as cornering, technical sections, selecting the right gear, and looking at your body position on your bike. Dave Thornton - (AKA Pacman - cos he's alway eating) Dave has recently joined us, and his main duties include servicing the hire fleet and workshop duties. Dave is fast becoming a bike nerd, and knows the exact names for the thingame that attaches to the thingame. He's recently purchased himself a Trek XO CycloCross bike.....so we'll see him riding that down the shoot on youtube very soon!! Dave's got his CYTECH mechanic qualification. Ruth Asbery - SXC Kirroughtree Open Winner 2010 Ruth is fresh from being out in NZ working in a bike shop and sampling the trails out there. She's a Qualified CYTECH mechanic and Ruth is a qualified MBL (Mountain bike Leader) and BASP first aid.
